  • Early Saturday Practice

This Saturday (10/27) we will be starting practice at 8:30. We have to finish up by 10:30 as the building is in use after that. Come early and start the Saturday right with a hard workout.

  • Introductory Judo Referee and Table Help Seminar

This event will be held at our dojo, but it is hosted by Lakeland Judo & Joseki Dojo
    When: Sunday November 18, 2018
    Time: 8am – 3:30pm
    Location: Spokane Judo Club
    304 E. 2nd Ave
    Spokane, WA 99202
    Clinicians:

    • Patrick Lo – IJF B (Continental) Referee
    • Leslie Mizuki Continental Coach

At this referee and table help workshop, we will lay the groundwork to get started as a local referee in the Northwest and assist
volunteers in understanding the rules, calls, paperwork and table procedures of a local tournament. Simultaneously, table
volunteers will attend an instructional classroom session reviewing bracketing, referee points and hand calls, and computer scoring.
Both table volunteers and beginning referees will meet together in the afternoon session to simulate a tournament setting with
    refereeing, scoring, and bracketing.

  • The End of Summer

Sadly Summer is over, but on the positive side, we can get back to more judo!
Hopefully all of you that took some time off are ready to get back on the mat and get back in shape.
We have cancelled practice for Monday 9/3 but Thursday 9/6 is on.
In addition, We are starting up Saturday practices again. This Saturday 9/8 will be the first one.
I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday!

  • Taking off Saturdays for a while

We have had a few dedicated individuals determined to improve their judo consistently coming to practice these days, but since I think weekends in the summer are difficult for most people, we are going to cancel Saturday practices for a few weeks.
Based on popular demand, we will start them up again.

In the mean time, we still have our regular practices. We get to focus on technique and fundamental skill development, so make judo part of a great summer and come on Monday and Thursday.
Hope to see everyone at practice.

  • Reminder: Saturday Practice

We are having Saturday practice tomorrow. Hopefully attendance will be good. If not, we will have the anti-practice and go out to breakfast.
    Hope to see people there.

  • No Practice this Saturday

The Junior Olympics is in town this weekend so we won’t be having practice this Saturday (6/23).
I suggest you go down and watch the competition to get your weekly judo fix.
    See everyone Monday.

  • Reminder: Practice Dec 28 and Dec 30

Just a reminder that we will have practice on Thursday 12/28 as usual.
We will also be finishing out the year with a Saturday practice on 12/30 at 9:00 for adults and advanced students.
I hope to see everyone there.

I need to work off the Christmas dinners I consumed! (am I the only one?)

This practice is only rendori/drills, not much in the way of instruction.
